Congratulation to the future mom! Kathie Lee Gifford is ready to play the role of a grandmother as her daughter Cassidy Gifford is expecting her first child.
On Friday, Cassidy Gifford posted a photo of three Christmas stockings hanging against a white fireplace. The middle stocking was relatively smaller than the other two.
“Our little peanut arriving June 2023🙏 Jeremiah 1:5,” the daughter of former Today show co-host Kathie Lee Gifford and the late NFL star Frank Gifford explained in the caption.
“A whole lot extra to be praising Jesus for this Christmas,” Cassidy added in the heartwarming announcement.
Cassidy’s pregnancy comes more than two years after the couple tied the knot in an intimate backyard wedding in June 2020 which was kept small due to the Corona-Virus pandemic.
The pair then had a second bigger celebration in November 2021 in Nashville. “The whole day was really special,” she said at the time.

The former co-host of the Today show’s daughter Cassidy Gifford and her husband Ben Wierda are expecting their first child!
For childhood friends know each other for decades. “We actually met when Ben was 13 and I was 10. Our moms met through a mutual friend in the Florida Keys, and my family would always go for the holidays,” Cassidy said at the time.
“Their kids matched up with ages with my brother and I. You don’t always get along with your family friends’ kids, but we hit it off,” the mom-to-be added.
While Cassidy said she and Ben “were always best friends,” it was not until 2015 that the two realized their relationship was something more.
“It was very quick. It was only after seven months of dating, which I know sounds very quick, but at that point, we already had done so much life together and knew each other so well for so long,” she said.
“Once we started dating, it was kind of a no-brainer for us. We were in it and in it completely,” Gifford said.
Cassidy Erin Gifford was born on August 2, 1993, in New York City, United States. In 2015, Gifford was chosen as one of Esquire magazine’s “18 Beautiful Women America Won’t Be Able to Resist This Summer.”
The model is the younger sister of Cody Gifford, and younger half-sister of Jeff Gifford, Kyle Gifford, and Vicky Gifford-Kennedy from her father’s first marriage.
In June 2020, Cassidy married Ben Wierda, nephew of Erik Prince and Betsy DeVos and grandson of Edgar Prince, in a private ceremony in Michigan.
