Regret to announce to you that kykNET presenter Aleit Swanepoel passed away on May 16, 2022, at the age of 47. His group announced on their social media that he passed away in his sleep. May he rest in peace.

He was born in 1974 in Worcester in the Western Cape, also he studied at Unisa and start his career in South Africa.

Swanepoel has worked in the South African hospitality industry such as managing a 5 star restaurant and working in different hotels. In 2002 he Established Aleit Wedding and Event Coordination. Before that he worked for a wine company.

In 2007 His first book was published which included 100 Words About Weddings.

Aleit didn’t say anything about his wife or partner on the internet and never shared specific information about his children. According to some reports He had a daughter named Kateline.

Swanepoel shared on his social media that Kateline is a swimmer and she adores swimming. Some reports claim that she is adopted but there is no official document about it.

The Aleit Group announced his death and said “It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our founder, Aleit Swanepoel”.

They also added: “Aleit passed away in his sleep, and while there is no further information to share at this moment, we ask that you keep his family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time,”

“Aleit was an innovator, perfectionist, and creative genius whose flamboyant persona and dedication will be greatly missed. We will continue to uphold and nurture his great legacy through all Aleit businesses and entities.”
