Rumors Behind Radio Talk Show Host Andrew Krystal’s Death


Many condolences have been made on social media, informing us of the former Halifax radio talk show host, Andrew Krystal’s death. He passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, in Toronto at the age of 63.

There is no specific information about the date of his birthday but he was born in Toronto, Ontario. He studied English and international relations at the University of Toronto. After that, he started a career in radio syndication.

He co-produced, wrote, voiced, and sold the Entertainment Tonight-style series Entertainment Week and Entertainment Today, which aired in 60 Canadian markets. That time between 1986 to 1991, he worked with Sonic Workshop. Its owners were David Pritchard and Alan Lysaght.

Fans are heartbroken after hearing the news about Andrew Krystal’s death on May 22, 2022, at the age of 63. May he rest in peace.

Once he said that he would have voted for Hitler if Hitler had been a conservative. After that statement, Krystal was banned from CTV Newsnet.

In 2005, when News 95.7 launched, Krystal was the first host of Maritime Morning. During his career, he wrote independent TV series and travel guide programs. Also, he hosted his own talk show ”The Andrew Krystal Show” on Sunday nights on Toronto’s CFRB.

Andrew was Toronto Mike guest for episode 630 when they talked about his years at Mojo Radio, being The Fan 590’s morning show host.

In May 2010, Krystal won a Network Radio Award, called Radio-Television News Directors Association of Canada in the Atlantic Region for his broadcast editorial on the death of Michael Jackson.

In November of 2020, Krystal joined The Todd Veinotte Show where he discussed his career as a talk show host. He said: ”I do the best I can. You don’t go on and be mean to everybody, but you can’t go on always kissing up, there has to be a range. We approach journalism, but we’re not journalists. Ultimately we are entertainers,”

Krystal also added: “You’re compassionate, you’re aggressive, you’re understanding, you’re insightful. Hopefully, you’re prepared, you’re intelligent and you’re well-read. Those are important things.”

Mark Hebscher shared his condolence and said: ”Devastated to hear the news of the passing of Andrew Krystal at age 63. Andrew was one helluva guy, and I enjoyed his company very much. Smart, funny, unique and passionate. Condolences to Michelle and to all those who loved him. May his memory be a blessing”.

Fans are heartbroken after hearing the news about Andrew Krystal’s death on May 22, 2022, at the age of 63. May he rest in peace.

Victor Machado tweeted: ”An old radio friend has passed away suddenly. I was his producer for many years and have very fond memories. I spoke to him less than 24hours ago. His last words to me were, “Love you, buddy”. I’ll miss our talks”.

”This is a small industry. He was his own guy, and there is nothing wrong with that. I only got to know him later and he couldn’t have been kinder or more complimentary”.Mike Richards shared his feeling in social media.

Some believe that he was one of the liveliest, most colorful, and most entertaining talk show hosts ever.

    Andrew launched the Science Files with Richard Zurawski at 95.7 and brought in huge ratings. He continued to work with Richard on several interviews over the years. Deepest condolences to Michelle and family. We will miss Andrew’s wit, humour, intelligence and edgey come backs. RIP
