Sadly, the 25-year-old Anna Moriah Wilson was killed. He was found dead on May 11 in an East Austin home on Maple Avenue. It’s believed that Kaitlin Marie Armstrong faces a murder charge connected to the shooting.

For those who may wonder, Born on May 18, 1996, in Littleton, Anna grew up in Kirby and attended
- Burke Town School,
- The Riverside School (2010),
- And Burke Mountain Academy (2014).
In 2019, from Dartmouth College, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering. Moriah was known to be a professional bike racer who also used to work as a demand planner for Specialized.
Anna Moriah gained victory over and over till she was led to the level of a nationally ranked junior skier, placing 3rd in the 2013 U.S. Junior National Championship Downhill event. She was a member of the Alpine Ski Team while at Dartmouth, fulfilling a childhood dream.
Her passion for biking started at a young age. Anna spends hours on the kingdom Trails furnishing her skills and strength as a biker as she was growing up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
She continued to pursue her athletic dreams as an elite bike racer despite an engineering degree. It’s said that she recently wished to channel her success into ways to give back and inspire others around the world.
Besides her love for biking, Anna enjoyed cooking, writing, and traveling as well. She is survived by her parents and brother: Eric, Karen, and Matthew Wilson, all of Kirby, Vermont, and her grandmother.

Anna Moriah Wilson Killed in Shooting
Anna Moriah Wilson was killed after she was shot dead. It occurred days before a 150-mile bike race she was favored to win. On May 11, her dead body was found by her friend on the ground unconscious, covered in blood.
The heartbreaking thing is that the angel was killed seven days before her 26th birthday. May she rest easy in grace and love.
The Daily Beast tweeted: “After Anna Moriah Wilson was killed police questioned Kaitlin Armstrong about an unrelated misdemeanor before they were forced to let her go. She is now on the run.”
According to the latest investigators’ details, Kaitlin Marie Armstrong had split with her longtime boyfriend Colin in October. It’s told that soon got back together with the 34-year-old accused. This is while between those two periods, the professional cyclist got involved with Wilson.
On May 19, the warrant for Armstrong’s arrest was signed. Kaitlin is being charged with murder first-degree felony. In Texas, this kind of charge can result in five to 99 years in prison or life in prison.
In case it’s proved that she’s guilty and the case was to be a crime of passion, the maximum prison sentence will turn to 20 years.
KXAN News wrote: “New: The family of Anna Moriah Wilson, who went by “Mo,” issued a statement Saturday expressing the depths of their loss and clarifying details surrounding Wilson’s alleged romantic relationship with the suspect’s boyfriend in this case.”
Did The Possible Love Triangle Lead to Anna Moriah Wilson’s Death?
The investigation is going on, however, an arrest warrant has been issued against an Austin woman named Armstrong. The arrest warrant deposition includes allegations of a possible love triangle among Anna, professional cyclist Colin Strickland, and Armstrong.
Strickland has admitted that he had romantic relationships with both women at different times. It’s believed that there can be a possibility for him to be a suspect in Anna’s murder.
Colin wrote a grieving statement: “I AM REELING FROM GRIEVING MO WILSON’S DEATH AND FROM THE FACTS THAT HAVE EMERGED DURING THE INVESTIGATION. I CAN NOT BEGIN TO IMAGINE THE PAIN FELT BY MO’S FAMILY AND HER CLOSE FRIENDS.
THERE IS NO WAY TO ADEQUATELY EXPRESS THE REGRET AND TORTURE I FEEL ABOUT MY PROXIMITY TO THIS HORRIBLE CRIME. I AM SORRY, AND I SIMPLY CAN NOT MAKE SENSE OF THIS UNFATHOMABLE TRAGEDY.
ALTHOUGH IT WILL BE A MATTER OF SMALL CONSOLATION TO ANYONE ELSE WHO CARED FOR MO, I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I HAVE COOPERATED FULLY WITH INVESTIGATORS EVER SINCE I LEARNED THE TERRIBLE NEWS, AND I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO UNTIL SOME FORM OF JUSTICE IS SERVED.
AS A POINT OF CLARIFICATION TO FACTS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED, MORIAH WILSON AND I HAD A BRIEF ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP FROM LATE OCTOBER-EARLY NOVEMBER 2021 THAT SPANNED A WEEK OR SO WHILE WILSON WAS VISITING AUSTIN. AT THE TIME, SHE AND I HAD BOTH RECENTLY ENDED RELATIONSHIPS. SHE RETURNED TO HER HOME IN CALIFORNIA AND ABOUT A MONTH LATER, KAITLIN ARMSTRONG AND I RECONCILED AND RESUMED OUR RELATIONSHIP.
SINCE THEN I HAVE OFTEN SEEN MO AT CYCLING EVENTS, AND ALWAYS IN PUBLIC SETTINGS. WE BOTH COMPETED IN BENTONVILLE, AR, STILLWATER, AND MONTERREY CA. WE ALSO MET FOR A 4 HOUR TRAINING RIDE IN SANTA CRUZ AFTER THE SEA OTHER [SIC] CLASSIC IN MONTERREY.
AFTER OUR BRIEF RELATIONSHIP IN OCTOBER OF 2021, WE WERE NOT IN A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP, ONLY A PLATONIC AND PROFESSIONAL ONE. IT WAS NOT MY INTENTION TO PURSUE AN AUXILIARY ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP THAT WOULD MISLEAD ANYONE. MORIAH AND I WERE BOTH LEADERS IN THIS LONELY, NICHE SPORT OF CYCLING, AND I ADMIRED HER GREATLY AND CONSIDERED HER A CLOSE FRIEND. I AM DEEPLY GRIEVING HER LOSS.”
