Is American Singer Bernard Wright’s Death Rumor True?

We are sad to inform you that fans are talking about Bernard Wright’s death. His family announced his passing via his Facebook profile. He shockingly passed away on May 19, 2022, at the age of 58.

He was born on November 16, 1963, in Jamaica, Queens, New York. He was an American funk and jazz keyboardist and singer. He attended the High School of Performing Arts in New York. In his high school, he had some famous friends like Carl Hancock Rux who was a writer, and gospel recording artist Desiree Coleman Jackson.

The song called “Who Do You Love” was his hit. “Who Do You Love” was his highest chart appearance on the Billboard R&B chart, peaking at 6 in 1985 which built a lot of good memories for his fans and others.

When he was very young, was known as a child prodigy because Wright played with both Jamaica artists Tom Browne and Lenny White.

When he was only 13 he went on a slot touring with Lenny White and three years after that at the age of 16 he played with Tom Browne.

Just a year later, he released a hit album called ‘Nard which broke the Jazz charts and an introduction of Wright’s funky jazz sounds to the R&B world. Also in this album, he noted that his mother is Lessie Wright.

He also worked with labels called Manhattan, EMI Records, Arista, GRP, and MCA Records.

Wright went on to become a sought-after session musician in both jazz and R&B styles, He appeared on recordings by musicians such as

• Miles Davis
• Marcus Miller
• Pieces of a Dream
• Miami Mike Devine Pennington
•  Bobby Brown

Later he emigrated to Texas, where he continued to perform and played keyboards in Dallas regularly, where he mentored younger artists too.

For artists like LL Cool J, Snoop, and Dr. Dre, Bernard Wright was kind of an Idol that influenced the hip-hop community a lot.
