Brady Hessbrook’s Death Resulted By a Suicide


A student-athlete at Wayne State University Brady Hessbrook’s death on Friday, January 27 at the age of 20 was released and the story behind his cause of death shocked many.

Ithaca quarterback Brady Hessbrook was chosen as the Saginaw MLive Offensive Player of the Year. The young star played football at Saginaw Valley for one season before moving to Central Michigan, where he pursued a degree in Global Supply Chain Management.

Graduating in 2021, Brady was a member of the First Team for Division 7 All-State, and the Detroit Free Press recognized him for his achievements. As a senior, he completed 126 184 passes for 1,980 yards, earning him a spot on the Division 7 First Team All-State for the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA).

He additionally threw 30 touchdown passes and only three interceptions.

According to reports, the young athlete, who resided in Ithaca, Michigan, Brady Hessbrook’s death occurred as a result of suicide. Brady’s Obituary and funeral plans will be published by the family.

Brady was born to Terry and Kristy Hessbrook, and he shares a birthday with his older sister Kelsey as well as his cousin Logan Hessbrook. Terry, Brady’s father is a fellow athletic director in the conference and the former head football coach at Ithaca. Karl Schmugge, a Teacher, Athletic Director, and Coach at Michigan Lutheran Seminary wrote in an honor shared on Facebook that prayers to the Terry Hessbrook family from Ithaca as they tragically lost their son yesterday.
