Juventus confirmed the heartbreaking passing news on Saturday; Manchester United’s Paul Pogba shared his tribute on social media and wrote, “The saddest of news. My thoughts and prayers are with all of your close ones. Losing a loved one is never easy but I’ll never forget you. RIP Bryan, you will be missed.”

The young star had a close friendship with Pogba, whom he first met in 2015. Many fans showed their emotions following Manchester United midfielder’s goodbye to Dodien through the social networks with the touching message.

Juventus youth player, Bryan Dodien, has unfortunately passed away at the age of 17.

Before entering United, Pogba had given a goal to Dodien while starring for Juventus throughout the Turin Derby in 2015. Putting his shirt on, Pogba was wearing a shirt that wrote, “Brayn I am with you.”

Good to know, in 2019, the United star also congratulated Dodien when it appeared as if he was on the mend.

In 2016, Pogba called the youngster into the Juve dressing room as they celebrated winning another Serie A title with a 5-0 defeat of Sampdoria. They posed for photos, in which their friendship and smiles now look to say so much about life and enjoying what we have.

At that stage, Bryan was in the middle of three years of treatment and was given the all-clear only before Christmas 2018.

Someone tweeted, “Bryan Dodien, a Juventus youth player, has passed away at the age of 17 after his battle against cancer. He was diagnosed at the age of 12. From 2015 to 2019, he stopped playing to continue treatment. He returned to the pitch in 2019 and sadly passed away yesterday.”
