What’s Cherry Valentine’s Cause of Death at 28?
Cherry Valentine’s cause of death is not clear at this time. His agent Emma Bunning confirmed the sad news of his death and shared a statement from the actor’s family.
“It is with the most heart wrenching and deepest sadness to inform you that our George – Cherry Valentine – has tragically passed away,” the statement read.
“This will come as a profound shock to most people [and] we understand there is no easy way for this to be announced. As his family, we are still processing his death and our lives will never be the same,” Emma Bunning added.

“We understand how much he is loved and how many lives he has inspired and touched. All we ask is for your patience and your prayers at this time. We love you, Georgie.”
Bunning continued: “As his agent, it goes without saying that my heart is broken. George was a truly special person with enormous talent and a bright future ahead. He lit up a room, and touched so many people’s lives and few could forget his infectious laugh which I will miss terribly.”
Cherry was a Traveller and credited the “fabulous” women in his family as the motivation for becoming a drag performer.
Valentine said: “in the Traveller community, there’s a lot of pressure on young people to marry, to settle down, to have a family and to get a job to support the family” and that when Cherry grew up, he didn’t believe that being a drag star would be a viable career.
Speaking to fellow contestant Sister, Cherry said, “Growing up [being gay] did affect me. I don’t think I was completely sane at all.”
He hoped that sharing their story would be a notable reminder that LGBTQIA+ people exist everywhere.
After the sad news of Cherry Valentine’s death was revealed, his friends and fans quickly flooded social media with condolence messages. Many fans also took to Twitter to pay touching tributes to him.
“RIP Cherry Valentine. A brilliant drag performer who did so much for this world both as a nurse and as a representation of the gypsy community. A profound loss,” Jack Rem tweeted.
Joseph Shepherd also expressed his sadness, writing; “Cherry was such a beautiful soul and that laugh was so contagious. Thanks for brightening up the world with your craft and talent. Rest in peace Cherry. Love ya.”
