Radio legend Todd Hillier who was better known by his on-air name Fez Marie Whatley died Friday night of heart failure at 57. Fez Whatley’s obituary and funeral arrangements have not been officially released.
American comedian and former radio producer gained fame as the co-host of The Ron and Fez Show with radio personality and comedian Ron Bennington from 1998 to 2015.
Whatley, who was born on March 31, 1964, originally became famous after becoming a producer and contributor for the popular radio program The Ron and Ron Show. The show was canceled for low ratings following the departure of Ron Diaz.
The legendary comedian then cooperated with Ron Bennington to create The Ron and Fez Show again on a small Daytona Beach radio station. They subsequently created a show titled Ron and Fez Dot Com, and they moved to overnights on WNEW in New York City.

In an interview with The Interrobang.com, Todd Hillier discussed his coming out process. “Coming to this realization was devastating. After all those years of denying it, it was true. Fez Whatley was no longer a character that I played on the air.”
He continued: “He was me. And now it wasn’t funny anymore. I was now everything that I had joked about. I got depressed…I couldn’t make myself be Fez Whatley anymore. I was terrified about being really gay.”
