Details of ‘Halloween’ Stuntman George Wilbur’s Death at 81

George P. Wilbur, a well-known stuntman and actor in Hollywood, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. George Wilbur’s cause of death has not been confirmed at this time.
George Peter Wilbur was born on March 6, 1941, in Connecticut and served in the United States Navy. After leaving the Navy, Wilbur worked as a wrangler on a ranch in Tucson, Arizona, where the actor worked as an extra in the film El Dorado in 1966.
He was recruited as a stand-in performer for John Wayne. He later moved to California, where he worked as an extra and stunt double.

Wilbur had a more than 60-year career, but the star will be mainly known for his various horror-related roles. Especially in the movies Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers from 1988 and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers from 1995 as Michael Myers.
The return of Michael Myers made George one of the best actors to ever don the famous white mask in the eyes of many fans.
He began his acting career in the 1960s filling in for John Wayne. Later, the actor would work on movies like The Running Man and Escape from the Planet of the Apes.
George starred in TV series like Mission: Impossible, Magnum P.I., The Six Million Dollar Man, and Dynasty. Famous genre movies like Total Recall, Casino, Die Hard, and Spider-Man all featured his stunt work.
His career as a stuntman lasted for 40 years and involved over 100 TV and film projects. George was a member of the Hollywood Stuntmen’s Hall of Fame.

Michael Myers actor George Wilbur’s cause of death has not been announced by his family but his death at the age of 81 was confirmed by Christopher Durand.
Announcing his death on Facebook, fellow stuntman Christopher Durand said: “George P. Wilbur passed away last night. George, you were a class act and well-loved. You will be missed.”
The Curse Of Michael Myers screenwriter Daniel Farrands paid touching tributes to the actor, describing him as a “kind soul”.

He wrote: “Very sad to hear of George’s passing. He was such a kind soul and a beloved member of the Halloween family.”
Fans rushed to social media to pay tribute to George P. Wildbur, with one user writing: “George Wilbur has always been one of my favourite versions of Michael Myers and I’m sad to hear he passed away.”
Another user said: “Rest In Peace to the great George P. Wilbur – legendary stuntman and Michael Myers actor in #Halloween 4 and 6.”
George is survived by his daughter Gena.
