Beloved UK DJ and producer Jamie Roy’s cause of death is a secret to fans. His family revealed the heartbreaking news in a statement on September 21, 2022.

In a post on Facebook today, the Roy family said that their son, who was a regular in the clubs of Ibiza, sadly passed away on Tuesday.

“Jamie passed away yesterday. Jamie was a much loved and talented son, brother, nephew, and uncle and loved by his many friends and colleagues both within the music industry and beyond that. We are all absolutely heartbroken,” the post read.

The talented artist began DJing in the clubs of Glasgow before finding a house in Ibiza and playing sets around Europe and beyond.

Roy released his song ‘Organ Belta‘ via the Trick label owned by Patrick Topping in 2021. A few days before his passing, he marked the song’s 1st anniversary on Instagram.

He wrote: “Well Organ Belta is one year old next week! Just had a look and it’s at number 37 and still in the house charts 51 weeks later mental jumping 24 places since yesterday.”

“I’m also 46th biggest selling house artist thank you all so much,” he added, going on to say that “organ belta 2 is coming…”

Jamie Roy’s Cause of Death is Untold

Talented DJ and producer Jamie Roy’s cause of death is still a secret. His family said the artist died on Tuesday but did not give any further details.

Jamie, who was originally from Dumfries, made rose to fame in Glasgow and went on to perform all over the world.

His friends and music industry colleagues described Roy, whose notable songs regularly featured on BBC Radio 1, as an “incredible human”.

A statement on social media, published on Wednesday, stated: “Jamie was a much loved and talented son, brother, nephew and uncle and loved by his many friends and colleagues both within the music industry and beyond that. We are all absolutely heartbroken.”

Jamie was best known as a regular performer in Ibiza and played at venues such as Amnesia, Pacha, and Ibiza Rocks.

Earlier this month, Roy said on social media he would be releasing the “biggest track of my life” with “the biggest producers on earth”.

In the past year, he had performed at notable events around the world, including Sonic Festival in Croatia, BPM Festival in Costa Rica, and Unum festival in Albania.

After the sad news of Jamie Roy’s death was revealed, his friends and fans quickly flooded social media with tribute messages. Many fans also took to Twitter to pay touching tributes to him.

House music producers Defected Records hailed Jamie as a “great producer, DJ, and friend to so many within our industry”.

Scottish DJ and producer Ewan McVicar said the artist was “one of the good ones, unmatched positive energy always and no hidden agenda just a good guy. So so sad. I am gutted.”

Electronic musician Paul Woolford tweeted: “Lit up any room he walked into. An incredible human. Hard to believe it’s true. Say it ain’t so…”

DJ and producer Jess Bays said: “No words. Jamie Roy what a special person. Sleep tight my friend.”
