We are informed of the most heartbreaking news following the artist, Jewell’s death. One of her close friends, who is also an artist shared the news on May 6, 2022, on his Instagram page. Her cause of death is untold.

Born in Chicago, Jewell Caples goes by her art names including Jewell (jew-ELL), Ju-L, Jew’ell, and Jewell Newton. The beloved American singer has performed on multi-platinum R&B/Hip-Hop albums.

Fans are asking around to know if the artist, Jewell's death rumor is true.

She, who was signed to Death Row Records from 1992 to 1996, covered Shirley Brown‘s song “Woman to Woman” in 1994. It later reached 72nd on the Billboard Hot 100. Not to mention that the song peaked at #16 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs list.

Jewell released “Love or Lust,” featured in Bill Duke’s film, Deep Cover (miscredited in movie end-credits as “Jewel”) besides featuring on two songs on 1994 Above the Rim soundtrack.

This talented artist has been called “The First Lady of Death Row Records.” Jewell co-authored and self-published a memoir authored with Felicia St. Jean titled My Blood My Sweat My Tears back in 2011.

Later on, it was led to notably encouraged rumors of Dr. Dre’s homosexuality and of people involved with Tupac Shakur’s murder.

We learned about Jewell’s death from Dazzel Dillinger who shared his condolence on his Instagram post, writing: “🌹RIP 🌹REST N PEACE 🌹@iamjewellcaples IM SAD THIS REALLY HURT BUT JEWELLZ PASSED THIS MORNING. WOW DEATHROW FOR LIFE. WE GONE MISS HER 🌹🌹🌹 CLASSIC MUSIC 🎼 FAMILY OVER EVERYTHING.”

Fans are asking around to know if the artist, Jewell's death rumor is true.

No official statement has come out yet due to the cause. No background of health issues or diseases has been found. We all praying to god, sending her family and friends the strength that they need.
