Today we were informed that, unfortunately, half of the music duo Seals and Crofts, Jim Seals’ cause of death is still under investigation after the legend passed away on Monday, (June 5, 2022), at the age of 80.
May he rest in power. Wish his loved ones find inner peace as soon as possible.
Musician and colleague John Ford Coley confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement released on Facebook, saying, “This is a hard one on so many levels as this is a musical era passing for me.”

The statement added, “And it will never pass this way again, as his song said. He belonged to a group that was one of a kind. I am very sad over this but I have some of the best memories of all of us together. Rest In Peace Jimmy.”
Jim Seals and Dash Crofts tried to define soft rock in the 1970s. The due’s first major hit was Summer Breeze in 1972, trading more than a million copies. The following year saw the release of Diamond Girl which was additionally a hit, making it to No 4 in the US.
There was a rumor in 1974 with the publication of the album Unborn Child, which contained an anti-abortion song that was written soon after Roe v Wade. It was restricted by several radio stations, and concerts were picketed although the team insisted it was not as political as many asserted, only that it requested people “don’t take life too lightly” before contemplating an abortion.

Jim Seals’ cause of death is not still apparent at this time and authorized reports have not revealed any details yet, nevertheless, some unconfirmed sources claimed the star lost his life because of a disease he was recently suffering from.
Good to mention that, the beloved Jim suffered a stroke in 2017.

“It was our ignorance that we didn’t know that kind of thing was seething and boiling as a social issue,” he declared years later in 2021. “On one hand we had people sending us thousands of roses, but on the other people were literally throwing rocks at us. If we’d known it was going to cause such disunity, we might have thought twice about doing it.”
The band resumed with hits such as Get Closer and I’ll Play For You before they took a break in 1980 after being dropped by Warner Bros after their 11th studio album, The Longest Road.

There were two reunions, in 1991 and then in 2004 with the last album, Traces.
“I just learned that James ‘Jimmy’ Seals has passed,” said his cousin Brady Seals, member of the country band Little Texas. “My heart just breaks for his wife Ruby and their children. Please keep them in your prayers. What an incredible legacy he leaves behind.”

The same day, the bassist and a founding member of the iconic rock band Bon Jovi, Alec John Such’s cause of death has been followed by many questions since he took his last breath on Sunday (June 5, 2022) at the age of 70.
The group on Sunday confined and shared the heartbreaking passing news of Such who was the New Jersey band’s famous bassist from 1983 for about a decade. No details on when or how Such died were immediately available. A publicist for singer-songwriter Jon Bon Jovi didn’t immediately respond to messages.
Bon Jovi credited Such for bringing the band together, noting that he was a childhood friend of drummer Tico Torres and brought guitarist and songwriter Richie Sambora to see the band perform. Such had played with Sambora in a band called Message.
