What’s Klaus Schulze’s Cause of Death at 74?
Veteran composer and electronic music pioneer Klaus Schulze’s cause of death has not been exactly mentioned in the statement shared by Frank Uhle.
The great artist launched a solo career consisting of more than 60 albums that were released across five decades. In 1969, Klaus was the drummer of early incarnations of Tangerine Dream for the debut album Electronic Meditation.
Before 1969 Schulze was a drummer in a band called Psy Free. The artist met Edgar Froese from Tangerine Dream in the Zodiac Club. Klaus left this group in 1970 in order to form Ash Ra Tempel with Hartmut Enke and Manuel Göttsching.

The late artist chose again to leave a newly formed group in 1971, after only one album, this time to mount a solo career. Schulze released his debut album Irrlicht in 1972.
In 1976, Klaus was drafted by Japanese composer Stomu Yamashta to join his short-lived “supergroup” Go. He featured Steve Winwood, Al Di Meola, and Michael Shrieve.
Since this point, his career had been most prolific, and he could claim more than forty original albums to his name since his debut album Irrlicht. Highlights of these include Timewind, Moondawn, Dune, and In Blue.
In 2005 Schulze started re-releasing his classic solo and Wahnfried albums. In the last several years, he produced albums and staged many live appearances with Lisa Gerrard.
With the release of his 40th album (Big in Japan: Live in Tokyo 2010) in 2010, Klaus entered his fifth decade as a solo musician. The artist’s next album, Shadowlands, was released in February 2013, to be followed by the release of The Schulze–Schickert Session 1975, in March 2013.
Earlier this month, the late composer announced his latest solo album, Deus Arrakis, which had been scheduled for release on June 10, 2022.
We also offer our love and support to the family, friends, and loved ones of Klaus Schulze during this heartbreaking time. May he rest in peace.
