Born on October 14, 1941, in New York City, beloved Lee followed her passion in action, starting at the time she was in her early 20s.


Working with the long-running CBS soap opera, Love of Life, is known to be her first onscreen gig.
Running from 1951 to 1980, Lee held on to her role as Barbara Sterling for about 30 episodes in 1965.
The popular actress went on to have guest roles on shows like Maude and Kojak after Lee’s run on her first soap.
Before landing her biggest TV gig a couple of years later, Lawson had a small role on ABC’s One Life to Live in 1979.

Fans Mourning Actress Lee Lawson’s Cause of Death
On Monday, actress Marian Hailey-Moss, the daughter, shared about Lee Lawson’s death on her Facebook. It is said that the actress was not only fighting cancer but also Covid-19. She was suffering from too much pain. May she can rest now.
Lee was blessed with three children, daughters Leslie and Gabriella Bova and son Christopher Boal. Marian announced: “My down-to-earth, sassy smart, and beautiful friend LEE LAWSON is telling it like it is in a better place. A fine actress and a super generous friend. I’ll meetcha there LEE!! 1941-2022”
She added: “My mother died. May 22, 2022. Thank you for having Chris, Me, and Gaby so that we could have Gianna, Wilder, and Sterling. We love you. You fought Cancer and COVID-19 like a champ. Rest, you brilliant, woman. Thank you, mom. R.I.P.”
A fan wrote: “R.I.P. Lee Lawson was born on October 14, 1941, in New York City, New York, USA. She is an actress, known for playing Wanda Webb Wolek, 1977-79 on One Life to Live, passed away Sunday night in Los Angeles at 81-years-old.”
