Louisette Dussault’s death at the age of 82 came as a shock to her fans and the entertainment industry. The talented actress passed away on March 14, 2023.
Louisette Dussault was born on June 12, 1940 ,in Thetford Mines, Quebec, Canada actress. She studied at the National Theatre School of Canada.
With Jean-Claude Germain, Dussault founded Les Enfants de Chénier and took a role in their show Grand Spectacle d’adieu.

The star performed in works by Michel Tremblay and André Brassard, including Waitress, first readings of Les Belles-Soeurs, the film Françoise Durocher, Demain matin, Montréal m’attend, and Tremblay’s translations of Lysistrata and Dario Fo’s Mistero Buffo.
Louisette starred in the important feminist works La Nef des sorcières and Les Fées ont soif. She also appeared in her own monologue Moman.
This last work was translated into English as Mommy and was included in the first volume of the collection Anthology of Quebec Women’s Plays in English Translation(1966–1986) (2006).
She wrote and performed in the play Pandora ou Mon p’tit papa. She starred in the title role in the award-winning play Le voyage magnifique d’Emily Carr.

She was inducted into the Quebec Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Walk of Fame. In addition to her work as an actress, Dussault was a talented singer and songwriter.
She released several albums throughout her glorious career, showcasing her beautiful voice and musical talent. Louisette was also a famous performer in Quebec’s cabaret scene and was known for her energetic and engaging stage presence.
