Secret of Film Producer Martha De Laurentiis’ Cause of Death


We are saddened to announce American film producer Martha De Laurentiis’ cause of death has been followed by many rumors after she reportedly passed away on December 4, 2021, at the age of 67. May the angel rest in peace.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by American television writer Bryan Fuller in a short and tragic statement that he posted a while ago on his Instagram page.


A Twitter user said, “I never had the pleasure of meeting her in person, but greatly appreciated her online presence, her awesome attitude, and arresting personality. The #Fannibal family has lost a friend. Deepest condolences to her family and her loved ones. #marthadelaurentiis will be sorely missed.”

Martha De Laurentiis (née Schumacher) was born on July 10, 1954; he is remembered as an American film producer who was credited as Martha Schumacher until 1995. She was also known as the wife of Dino De Laurentiis.

Her other products include films like Breakdown, U-571, Hannibal, and Red Dragon with her late husband, as well as the TV series Hannibal. 

In 1980, Martha and Dino De Laurentiis formed the Dino De Laurentiis production company, and she was the company’s chairman. The late couple tied the knot in 1990 and shared two daughters, Carolyna and Dina.

De Laurentiis appeared as a jury member at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival. On December 16, 2017, she won an honorary doctorate of humanities from her alma mater, Ball State University.

She was additionally attached as executive producer on the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s Firestarter, kicking off her career full-circle and back to Stephen King adaptations. That movie is going to release in 2022.
