Legendary illustrator of video games’ death has been confirmed by his family. Mick McGinty’s cause of death also was revealed in a statement shared by his son, Jobey McGinty.
Jobey McGinty took to Facebook to share the sad news. He posted a photo of his father and wrote: “Friends and Family, my Dad has heard those glorious words today that we all long to hear: “well done, good and faithful servant.”
“Words can’t fully express the mix of sadness and sorrow alongside joy and gratitude and amazement,” he added. “The past 6 weeks of my life have been unbearably painful, and yet today, I am rejoicing in the midst of it all. I am so, so, so happy for my Dad today. So happy, I am just so thankful.
“I will be shedding more tears than I can imagine in the coming months and years, but it will be worth it, and none of them will be in vain,” Mick’s son said in a Facebook post.
He also thanked fans and friends for their prayers, saying: “Thank you for praying and cheering us on. We are forever indebted to you for your prayers and encouragement. We love you, and so did Dad.”

Mick McGinty’s Cause of Death
Unfortunately, Jobey McGinty just revealed his father Mick McGinty’s cause of death in a social media post. He announced that his father passed away from cancer.
“Dad left us SO peacefully, slowly taking softer, more gentle breaths, as opposed to the labored, congested breaths he had been taking the last few days. He was surrounded by his family, something that I assured him would happen,” Jobey said.
