American Comic Book Artist Neal Adams’ Shocking Cause of Death

Hereby we sadly announce that American comic book artist Neal Adams’ cause of death has been released after he passed away on Thursday (28 April 2022) when he was 80 years old. May he rest in peace.

Borys Kit who is a well-known journalist at Hollywood Reporter reflected on this shocking incident and stated:

“Sad news: Legendary comic artist Neal Adams, who revitalized Batman, Joker, and others with his realistic art & stories, has died at the age of 80. He was also a champion for artists’ rights and fought for compensation for Superman’s creators.”

Adams is known as a legendary comic book artist who created numerous fictional characters such as Batman and other superheroes with his photorealistic stylings and with a great sense of art brought them into living.

Neal Adams stepped into the world of comic books in the early 1960s and began his career first at DC with a character named Deadman, then he started working at Marvel and created the character of X-Men and The Avengers which all happened to gain much fame and attention from the fans.

What We Know about Neal Adams’ Cause of Death

Since the saddening passing of Neal Adams occurred many news sources covering his obituary revealed his cause of death. At the time of his passing, he was staying in New York and receiving medical care treatments related to his health issue.

According to the family member’s statements Mr. Adams was long-suffering from complications from sepsis and this issue eventually led to his passing. Also, recently another artist passed away and James Bama’s Cause of Death shocked many of his fans.

At the beginning of his career, he tried to work as a freelancer at DC but his first try in the comic industry did not turn out as fruitful. After some time he decided to work for Archie Comics where he worked in the publisher’s fledgling superhero line.

In 1962 he stepped out of his limitations and started working at the Newspaper Enterprise Association syndicate. By that time he was doing some corporations with the famous artist Jerry Caplin to draw some samples of Ben Casey’s comic strip.

These sample drawings gained much attention from both critics and comic readers and soon Adams succeeded to publish some of his works in Boys’ Life magazine which was a best-selling publication at that time.

Apart from his experiences in the field of comic character creation, he also has some works in theatre and cinema. Neal Adams directed and starred in “Nannaz” which was cast by Troma and was titled “Death to the Pee Wee Squad.” 

Throughout his shining career, Neal Adams was honored to receive some of the most valuable awards in his genre. He gracefully entered the Eisner Award’s Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1998, the Harvey Awards Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1999, and the Inkwell Awards, Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame, in 2019.

Neal Adams was born June 15, 1941, on Governors Island, New York City. He was born into a military family who was Jewish and when he was a child his family lived on a series of army bases, from Brooklyn to Germany. Adams went to the School of Industrial Art high school in Manhattan and graduated from there in 1959.
