Many are speculating the real story behind the young Ohio homecoming queen’s cause of death after she unexpectedly passed away after collapsing on a high school football field at the age of 17.
May the angel rest in paradise; we send our deepest sympathies to her family, friends, and all loved ones in this hard period.
The beloved Ohio girl lost her life after she collapsed on a football field during homecoming festivities at her high school Friday, the Mapleton Local School District reported.

Breanne McKean, a senior at Mapleton High School, collapsed on the field shortly after she was declared as a contender for homecoming queen, Superintendent Scott Smith stated.
The football game was suspended at halftime, and the homecoming dance scheduled for Saturday, where a queen would’ve been selected, was canceled, the district said.
All athletic events for Mapleton High School were also canceled through Wednesday. The school district described McKean as “funny, caring, and always full of life.”
“To know Bre was to Love Bre. She always made you feel included and had such a positive and vibrant personality,” it noted in a statement.

What Kind of Health Problems Became Ohio Homecoming Queen’s Cause of Death?
While there is no official report about the Ohio homecoming queen’s cause of death at this time, The school district said McKean suffered a medical emergency.
“Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to the McKean family, friends, and the Mapleton community,” the district added in a statement on Facebook.
Nevertheless, It’s not clear what kind of medical emergency she suffered; some claim she died of a heart attack because of intense excitement.
McKean played volleyball, basketball, and softball, Principal Corey Kline said.

“Bre Mckean was the type of student that lived life out loud,” Kline opened up. “She was a wonderful student who had a zest for school spirit and her fellow students.”
“Her personality and smile would light up any room, and she was instantly the life of the room,” Kline continued. A memorial scholarship was set up. The school district also created an apparel fundraiser to help support McKean’s family.
Grief counselors were available for students and staff members at the high school Monday. A memorial service will be held Saturday in Ashland.
