Musical Artist Parris Bowens’ Cause of Death Breaks Fans’ Heart
Sadly, Parris Bowens’ cause of death is reported as COVID19 as all fans and friends wished health on his latest Instagram post.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Parris Bowens inherited music and art at an early age from his parents, who were pastors. He was the eldest of five kids and came from a very musical household.
He attended the Philadelphia Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) high school, where Boyz II Men, Questlove, Christian McBride, Bilal, Joey DeFrancesco, and Leslie Odom attended as well.
Parris Bowens was discovered by gospel artist Tye Tribbett in 1998 and helped to establish the Soundcheck band with Tribbett and Tribbett became a hit in music. He was playing behind Vivian Green as a backing band shortly after joining the group.
The band released four albums under the label (Concepts & Ideas, LIFE, Victory LIVE, and Standout). Parris Bowens toured with the band for ten years.
Parris Bowens said in an interview with “The Music Channel” on November 1, 2013: “I have had a mentor for each season of growth. The bible says there’s safety in a MULTITUDE of counselors. My first mentor was my father. He taught me discipline and foundation. My father gave me my identity.”
Parris went on to play, produce, arrange, compose and tour with many artists and producers, like The Roots / The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show, ranging from:

The album has covered: Alive In Asia won two Grammy Awards, being the first time Parris would participate in a grammy-winning project.
