It’s with the deepest sadness and a heavy heart we inform you that actress Rebecca Balding has passed away at 66. Rebecca Balding’s cause of death has not been announced at this time.

The heartbreaking news was announced by actress Caroline Williams on Twitter on July 20, 2022. ” My cousin, Rebecca Balding, has passed away in Salt Lake City,” she wrote.

“While we were not close in adulthood, she was a profound influence on my curiosity about show business and acting. #TheBoogens was where she met her delightful husband @jameslconway. Mother, wife, actress. Did it all,” Williams added.

Rebecca Balding's cause of death has raised many questions, but it is still a secret to fans.

Rebecca Balding was born on September 21, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Balding attended the University of Kansas. The talented actress had the role of Carol David, mother of Jodie Dallas’ child, on Soap, and she appeared in 19 episodes from 1978 through 1980.

She starred as Corky Crandall in 1979 in the sitcom Makin’ It, and as the female reporter Carla Mardigian during the 1st three episodes of the inaugural 1977 season of the drama series Lou Grant.

That same year Rebecca appeared with Ed Asner, playing the role of his daughter Julie, in the classic Christmas TV film, The Gathering. Rebecca played Amy Franklin in Deadly Game, a film that starred James Cromwell and Andy Griffith in 1977.

In 1980 Balding appeared in the pilot of the sitcom Mr. and Mrs. and Mr., which never progressed as a series. The star made a guest appearance on 7th Heaven as Ellen, the mom of Matt’s new girlfriend Tia in 1996.

Rebecca Balding’s cause of death has raised many questions, but it is still a secret to fans. Her family also has not released a statement to reveal the cause of death.

Caroline Williams shred a poster of The Boogens on Twitter and wrote: “This is a delightful movie starring my cousin, Rebecca Balding, who just passed away. A wonderful way to remember a delightful actress. Directed by ⁦@jameslconway, creator/director of #Charmed They met and fell in love on this film.”

Rebecca appeared as Aunt Jackie in the season one episode “The Fourth Sister” of Charmed in 1998. The actress later returned to the show during its 4th season in 2002 under a different role.

Rebecca Balding's Cause of Death has not been Revealed.

She played the recurring character Elise Rothman, a newspaper editor and also the boss of Phoebe Halliwell (played by actress Alyssa Milano). Balding played the role until the final season in 2006.

The actress tied the knot with television producer James L. Conway, whom she first met while auditioning for one part in the 1981 horror movie The Boogens, which James directed and in which Rebecca ultimately starred.

After the devastating news of Rebecca Balding’s death was announced, many fans and friends shared their condolences and paid touching tributes to the great actress.

Bill Bria tweeted: “Just heard that Rebecca Balding has passed away. I’ve been discovering some of Rebecca’s work over the last few years—she’s a genuine delight in SILENT SCREAM and THE BOOGENS, and deserves a bigger cache in horror fandom. RIP.”
