The star sadly died July 14, 2022, in Lancaster, Calif., according to her husband Steven Rizzo who confirmed the devastating news.
In 1982, Roseanna joined the David Jacobs-created series for its sixth season and remained through the 14th and final season in 1991. The actress recurred on 112 episodes, with Singer Tony Garcia as Raoul the butler giving her character a hand.
Right before Dallas, Roseanna played another maid on three episodes of another hit CBS show, The Jeffersons. Christiansen’s character, Carmen, was hired by Louise (Isabel Sanford) and George (Sherman Hemsley) after Florence (Marla Gibbs) quit.
The fourth of four children, Christiansen Campos was born on March 11, 1951, at Bellevue Hospital in New York. Roseanna starred in an off-off-Broadway play with her brother, Victor when she was 9.
In 1969, Roseanna graduated from Mater Christi High School in Astoria, Queens. She moved to Los Angeles in 1973 in order to pursue her dreams of becoming an actor.
Christiansen’s first big break came with The Jeffersons. She met Rizzo at a bible study in Culver City, and they married in June 1989.
Christiansen leaves behind her husband Steven Rizzo and their children, Josiah and Grace, and her sister, Elba.

Roseanna Christiansen’scause of death has not been revealed at this time, but his husband confirmed that Christiansen passed away on July 14, 2022.
A memorial service for the great actress was being held Saturday at Heritage of Faith Christian Center in Crowley, Texas. Roseanna was an ordained minister and an acting coach.
Through her school Action! Acting, Roseanna guided thousands of students during her professional career. “Many of her students refer to their private sessions as their ‘therapy sessions,'” Steven Rizzo said.
“Though in years her life was too short, she spent enough time here to plant the seeds of love, encouragement, and beauty into everyone she met,” he added.
After the sad news of Roseanna Christiansen’s passing was revealed, her friends and fans flooded social media with thousands of tribute messages. Many fans also took to Twitter to pay tributes to the late actress.
Mike Barnes tweeted: “#RIP Roseanna Christiansen. The New Yorker portrayed Teresa the maid on ‘Dallas’ for nine seasons, and many fans of the show wish she would have been given more to do. Later, she was an ordained minister and acting coach.”
“We’re sad to report the death of Roseanna Christiansen Rizzo who we all knew as Theresa on #Dallas. Roseanna passed away suddenly on July 15, aged 71. In later life, she became a respected acting coach but her main love was her family. Prayers go out to husband Steve & two children,” Dallas Fanzine wrote.
