Car Accident Led to Ryan Preston’s Death at Young Age of 24

We are sad to announce the passing of former men’s basketball player Ryan Preston at the young age of 24. Ryan Preston’s cause of death has been announced unofficially.
US day News doesn’t confirm or refuse his death cause, but we are waiting for more official information, so stay with us.
Preston was a basketball player from Brooklyn New York who graduated from URI in 2019 and played for the Rams from 2017-2019. He also was a Student-Athlete Alumni at Trinity Valley Community College and the University of Rhode Island. Preston got a scholarship to join the University of Rhode Island.

Ryan played for the Rhode Island Rams from 2017 to 2019. He got a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies. Also, he studied Associate of Arts Broadcast Journalism at Trinity.

What is Ryan Preston’s Cause of Death?
The University of Rhode Island Department of Athletics confirmed his death news on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He has reportedly died of injuries suffered in a car accident in Bahrain. He was a member of Issa Town in the Bahrain-Premier League.
He was actively involved in helping the community as a Camp Counselor. At David Cox Basketball Camp he taught young kids the fundamentals skills of basketball. He also coached co-ed kids throughout basketball games to compete for a championship.

Ryan was born on May 9, 1997. He attended South Shore High School, then moved to the University of Rhode Island after getting a scholarship through basketball.

Reactions to Ryan Preston’s Death
Some fans, friends, and supporters reacted and stated their condolences on social media websites following this tragic news.
Coach David Cox announced that the game tomorrow against BC will be dedicated to Ryan. The team will wear a black band on the right shoulder of their uniforms to honor him.
An online user tweeted: “The outpouring of support from the entire #URI community shows how much Ryan Preston was valued and loved within the program. Always a bright light and had a smile on his face. RIP.”
Another wrote: “Sad to just hear the news of the passing of former South Shore HS and the University of Rhode Island jumping jack Ryan Preston. He was just 24 years old. Many a battle between him at South Shore and Cardozo. May He R.I.P!”
David Cox was visibly emotional when asked about Ryan Preston. Said URI will wear black armbands on their uniform sleeves throughout the remainder of the 2021-2022 season.
