According to reports, Renowned gospel singer Sammie Okposo died on Friday morning (November 25, 2022). Sammie Okposo’s cause of death was announced by several online sources.
Sammie Okposo was born May 30, 1971, in Nigeria. He was a music producer, psalmist, and CEO of Zamar Entertainment. In 2004, Sammie released his first album Addicted.
He collaborated with many other artists in the gospel and soul music fields. The artist collaborated with famous gospel singer Marvellous Odiete on “Follow You”.
Okposo performed regularly in Africa, Europe, and North America, and held a series of concerts called SOPP (Sammie Okposo Praise Party).

His recent album, The Statement (2018), was produced by the Gramm. Whoiswitter.com claims that Okposo is the CEO of Zamar Entertainment.
In 1992, Sammie became a soundtrack producer in the Nigerian Movie industry. This led to the official start of his career as a producer. Sammie then switched to making music.
Sammie released his first album, “Unconditional Love,” in 2000, with the hit single “Welu-Welu.” The star became well-known not just in his own country, but all over the world.
He earned multiple awards including KORA Best Gospel Artiste in Africa (2006), Afro Hollywood UK Best Gospel Artiste (2005), NEA Best Gospel Artiste of the Year (2007&2013), Crown SABC Best of African Gospel (2014), and NMA Best Contemporary Gospel Artiste among others.

Sammie Okposo’s cause of death has not been officially confirmed but several online reports claim that the star had been receiving hospice care and had been suffering from an unknown illness for the past few days. His illness was regarded as the cause of death.
Okposo offered a public apology to his wife, Ozioma, via his Instagram account on January 24, 2022, for his infidelity. The apology came a day after a lady, known only as African Doll, accused Sammie of impregnating her and abandoning her.
The gospel singer told his fans and followers that he would be taking a step back from his ministry to focus on restoration and seek forgiveness. Sammie initially deleted his social media accounts but restored them a few days later.

After the devastating news of Mike Robles’s death was revealed, his fans and friends expressed their deepest sadness. Many people also took to Twitter to send their tributes to the late comedian.
“I remember the day i watched Sammie Okposo Perform live, He brought the Heavens down with him that night. Everyone was indeed blessed. I felt blessed, i will never forget that experience. Rest in Peace Sammie Okposo,” one fan tweeted.
Victoria Edeme wrote: “I never believed I’ll get to break such a heartbreaking news today. Yes, Sammie Okposo is dead. It is confirmed.”
“Now everyone is typing “Rest in peace Sammie Okposo”, but y’all trolled him and dragged life out of him because he cheated. I don’t think he ever remained the same after all that went down that period. We don’t know the extent these trolls can take somebody. It’s a cold world,” a social media user wrote.
“I met Sammie Okposo in London, and we agreed to film an episode of the podcast. We exchanged numbers and kept in touch, finding the right time and schedule. Rest in peace. Strength to his family,” Joey Akan wrote.
“This afternoon we were hit by the sad news that Bro Sammie Okposo has transitioned. Shocked but we are consoled in the hope that he is alive in the presence of his Maker and God. We pray for the comfort of the Holy Ghost for his family, everyone directly affected by his passing,” Ada Ehi wrote.
