Point Blank Star Sharon Acker’s Death Cause is Behind Shadows

Although there is no information surrounding Sharon Acker’s cause of death, her daughter confirmed that the actress passed away on March 16, 2023.
Acker was born on April 2, 193, in Toronto, Ontario, and was adopted by Aileen and Ken Matthews of Toronto Canada.
She began her acting career with a television appearance in a made-for-television movie of Anne of Green Gables. Sharon joined the Stratford Theatre cast and traveled with the troupe to England.
The star made her film debut there in Lucky Jim (1957). Turning down a long-term contract with the producers of Lucky Jim, Sharon returned to Canada in 1957 with her husband to raise a family.
She returned to acting in Canadian television productions. Acker starred in a 1961 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) production of Macbeth with Scottish actor Sean Connery, directed by Paul Almond.
During the 1960s, she also modeled, and appeared in print advertisements. The actress and Angie Dickinson were featured modeling “moll style” clothing in the August 25, 1967, issue of Life.
Acker’s first American film appearance was in the John Boorman cult action film Point Blank starring John Vernon and Lee Marvin.
From that point, she appeared in film and television roles in Canada and the United States. Sharon guest-starred in the Star Trek episode “The Mark of Gideon” as Odona, a young woman who chooses to sacrifice herself by introducing disease to her overpopulated planet.
In 1976–77 she portrayed Helen Walling in the prime-time drama Executive Suite. Acker starred in two roles in two episodes of The Rockford Files in 1978 and 1979.

Kim Everest, Acker’s daughter and a casting director, announced the sad news on Facebook on March 17. Sharon Acker’s cause of death has not been revealed by her family yet.
Kim wrote on Facebook: “Yesteday at 3:30 pm we lost a most incredible lady. My mama Sharon Acker Elkington. my daughter Alexis wrote a beautiful tribute to her and for now it just feels perfect to share it.
“My sister Gillian Macdonald, myself, my daughter Alexis, my mom’s dear friend Ruth and mom’s lovely caregiver were all around her, holding her hands and soothing her with gentle massage to her arms and legs as she slipped away so peacefully and quietly,”
“We held hands and Ruth sang my mamas favourite hymn …and she was gone …but she’s not, she is everywhere. Hey mom like Alexis said, don’t forget to check in. We love you so so much. Our Sisters Kim Elkington and Caitlin Elkington both out of town are in our hearts,” she added.
The Canadian star made her last feature film appearance in 1981 and her last television appearance in 1992.
Acker tied the knot with Peter Elkington, a filmmaker. Acker has two daughters from a previous marriage, and two daughters from Peter’s previous marriage.
