Dance DJ Stu Allan’s Cause of Death: Lost The Battle to Cancer
It is with the deepest sorrow to announce a DJ, musician, and producer whose work impacted the Manchester music scene in the 1980s and 1990s passed away. Stu Allan’s cause of death was announced on September 22, 2022. May he rest in peace.
He was a talented artist who DJ Magazine announced as the world’s No. 3 DJ in 1993 because of his mixes of house music, hip hop, and hardcore techno. When he worked at Manchester’s Key 103 and Piccadilly Radio, his work influenced the music scenes of both cities during this time.
It was in 1982 when Allan started DJing. Between 1984 and 1986, his mixes and remixes were featured on Piccadilly Radio in Manchester on various shows including Timmy Mallet, Chris Evans, and Tim Grundy.
Despite being a DJ, he hosted a show on Piccadilly Radio while the regular DJ was on vacation for a short period. As the audience loved his performance so much, they pressed the station to make him the permanent host. He began to include house and hip-hop music in his shows.
The hit Farley Jackmaster Funk’s “Love Can’t Turn Around” was when Allan first started playing music on the radio. This track sparked the interest of those in charge of the station and they asked Allan to explain why he was playing this supposedly non-existent music.
In 2021-2022, his net worth started to grow significantly. Stu’s income mostly comes from his career and because he is considered a successful British Record producer. So, his net worth was calculated as around $1 Million – $5 Million at the end of 2021.
