With profound sadness, we share the sad news that the VP of News Operations Tanita Myers has passed away. Some details related to Tanita Myers’ cause of death were announced after her death.

She was found unresponsive in her room and rushed to Tulane hospital. Myers never regained consciousness. On July 12, 2022, at 2:26 pm Arizona time, Myers’s family removed her life support.

Black Information Network‘s official Twitter account shared the devastating news on July 13, 2022. “With profound sadness, we share the tragic news that our beloved VP of News Operations, Tanita Myers, has passed away.

Tanita from Black Information Network was a producer, manager, broadcaster, and anchor for local news. She also worked at Reach Media for almost 15 years as senior director of radio operations.

Then she joined the Black Information Network at iHeartMedia. Previously, Tanita held the positions of Executive Producer of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show as well as Director of Operations for The Tom Joyner Morning Show.

Various radio stations in Dallas, Phoenix, and Flint, Michigan, have played Myers on the air. in 1992, she started her professional career as a midday host or promotional director at Mobley Broadcasting.

Two years later, Myres went on to work as an entertainment reporter at Phoenix Radio Stations. In 1996 she was a morning show co-host at the Broadcast.

She was also an executive producer in August 2004 for Rickey Smiley Morning Show. Tanita spent most of her life at Reach Media Inc, almost 6 years as Director of radio operations and about ten years as senior director of radio operations.

Tanita Myers’ cause of death has not been mentioned by any sources at this time but we know that she died due to an abrupt situation in the hospital.

Before getting into the Black Information Network, Myers was an executive producer at Westwood One. She created format clocks and developed benchmarks/features.

She also coached on-air talent, executed morning show promotions, booked guests, directed morning show imaging, and implemented special projects as designated by the Operations Manager.

After the sad news of Tanita Myers’ death was revealed, her friends and colleagues quickly flooded social media with tribute messages. Many fans also took to Twitter to pay touching tributes to her.

One of her colleagues, Rolands Martin, wrote, “This morning has already started off difficult. The other day, I posted about losing a colleague. That person was Tanita Myers, the director of news operations for @iHeartRadio ’s @blackinfonet. Tanita and I worked together at @TJMShow ’s REACH Media, and she was our liaison.”

He further said that Myers was found unresponsive in her room and then was taken to Tulane Hospital. After some time, her family took off the life support, and she was declared dead.

“Wrapping our arms around the family, friends, and colleagues of @iHeartRadio and @blackinfonet’s VP of News Operations, Tanita Myers. You’re in our prayers,” Dorothy Tucker wrote on Twitter.
