What Name Did Daniel Radcliffe Choose for his Newborn Baby?

Daniel Radcliffe is officially a dad! Although Daniel Radcliffe’s baby’s name has not been officially announced, his spokesperson confirmed the happy news.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed the exciting news saying that the lucky couple have become first-time parents, further details about the newborn are yet to be announced.

Just last month, the news broke that the pair were expecting their first child together. Radcliffe and Darke have been together for almost 10 years since the duo met on the set of Kill Your Darlings, a biopic of the Beat Generation.

Previously speaking of a sex scene they filmed for the biopic, the ‘Guns Akimbo‘ actor said that it will be an interesting story to tell his future children.

“It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day because of what our characters do with each other,” the actor quipped. “Our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time and flirting.”

Radcliffe isn’t the first of the Harry Potter stars to welcome a child as Rupert Grint aka Ron Weasley welcomed his first child with actress Georgia Groome back in 2020.

Rupert Grint confirmed the name of his baby girl with an Instagram post, which he captioned: “Hey Instagram….only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint.”

Admitting at the time that he found Rupert welcoming baby Wednesday “super weird” because it reminded him how old he is, Daniel said: “It’s also like super weird, for me, to think that we are all at the age where we are all having children, but we definitely are.”

Daniel Radcliffe’s baby’s name, birthday, and sex are not publicly known. The 33-year-old star and his partner Erin Darke announced they were expecting a child in March.

News of the Harry Potter actor’s new role as a parent came after he and Erin were seen pushing a baby stroller in New York City on Monday.

Radcliffe, who is completely private about his personal life, last year alluded to the fact that Erin may be pregnant.

In an October interview with Newsweek, the actor said he did not want his children to be famous and would prefer if his children aspired to work behind the scenes in the film industry.

Radcliffe rose to fame at age 12, when he began portraying Harry Potter in the film series of the same name. Over his career, he has received various awards and nominations.

He has starred in the 2012 horror movie The Woman In Black and the 2016 surreal comedy Swiss Army Man.

Ms. Darke, who was born in Michigan, United States, is also an actress who is best known for her role in the 2015 series Good Girl Revolt, and more recently starred in the Prime Video series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
