Debi Mazar Coronavirus Positive Test Confirmed once again not only the elderly and ordinary people but also the younger and celebrities can be targeted by coronavirus pandemic.
After Tom Hanks’ Coronavirus Test which was confirmed positive, Debi Mazar is the latest Hollywood figure to test positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the illness that has swept the world and been published a global pandemic.
For actress Debi Mazar, it all started with a family illness.
The actress, recently seen in Younger and Power, alerted her followers Saturday on her verified Instagram account that she has tested positive for the coronavirus.
“I have just tested positive for COVID-19. I AM OK!” Mazar captioned on Instagram.
“About a month ago, my entire home (husband and two teen daughters) got an odd bug — Low grade fever, headaches, sore throat, body aches, ears ringing and a dry cough. It cleared up quickly. Seasonal I thought? But it felt unusual/different… Two weeks later, March 15, I woke up with all those same symptoms but super intense body aches, and 102.4 fever. I figured maybe I got the flu.. or Corona?”
Additionally, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson contracted the virus in the United States and sought treatment upon arrival in Australia, where they are now out of hospital and self-isolating at a rented home.
She later called a doctor friend for advice, but found out she didn’t meet the criteria for testing as she hadn’t recently traveled out of the country and hadn’t come into contact with a known case of coronavirus.
“I found this kind of a CRAZY criteria for a NY’er as I had taken the subway, gone to the theater, the grocery store, the pharmacy, hair salon, etc. I was the mom who was trying to prepare the home and get supplies and bleach wipes, dry goods, extra food etc.”
On March 17, a friend told Mazar an urgent care office in her neighborhood had test kids, so she decided to get one. At first, she tested for the flu, which was negative. Then, she took a COVID-19 test.
, Though she received her COVID-19 diagnosis several days later.
Quarantining at home with her family (who have no symptoms — she thinks maybe they had coronavirus already), Mazar indicated that she feels OK one day and then worse the next, but hoping she’s through the worst of it.
Mazar said she has family in Italy and could not understand why, as the virus spread across New York, the city was not shutting schools or issuing stay-at-home orders earlier.
And now that the city has, she’s concerned people are not following those orders. “Prospect Park yesterday, i hear was jumpin’!” she stated. “Stay home people!” she added. “Protect yourselves & your loved ones. Build up your immune systems. Good Luck & God Bless us all!”
“I can breath, and I’m going to heal here, in my own home!” Mazar continued. “My family is under quarantine for 14 days. They have no symptoms. I think we all had it possibly already? Who knows. Anyhow, stay home people! Protect yourselves & your loved ones. Build up your immune systems. Good Luck & God Bless us all!”
Mazar, who has two children with Italian celebrity cook Gabriele Corcos, is the latest celebrity to test positive for coronavirus. Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Andy Cohen, Idris Elba, Colton Underwood, and Olga Kurylenko are just a few of the stars to come forward with their diagnoses.
