Lisa Liberati Married James McAvoy after Years of Dating

Recently, during an interview, the 42-year-old actor confirmed that he and Lisa Liberati have tied the knot.

James McAvoy and Lisa Liberati met in 2016 while he was separating from his then-wife, Anne-Marie Duff, with whom he shares a son, Brendan, 11.

The newlyweds first connected on the set of M. Night Shyamalan’s 2016 flick, Split, in which James starred and Lisa served as the director’s assistant. They started a relationship a few years later, per the outlet.

James McAvoy is currently starring in the stage version of Cyrano de Bergerac. This show is now playing in London and will be put on in Glasgow and Brooklyn, New York, later this year.

Despite the fact that the triple-vaccinated actor recently contracted the Omicron variant, and the ongoing risk associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, McAvoy feels it is important to return to work.

James McAvoy’s Divorce from Anne-Marie Duff

James McAvoy was previously married to Anne-Marie Duff in a quiet ceremony on October 18, 2006, and have one child together, their 11-year-old son, Brendan, who was born in 2010.

The couple met while working on the British television show Shameless, on which Duff played McAvoy’s character’s love interest.

During an interview with Mr Porter in 2017, he famously private actor acknowledged that while his life changed “massively” after he divorced, he intended to keep his personal life private.

They had chosen to keep their relationship private during their marriage, “We don’t talk about each other much and we don’t turn up together at lots of events. We both really rejoice in having a normal life.”
