The legendary player was an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons.

He, who used to play college football for the University of Alabama, was recognized as a consensus All-American.

Samuels played his entire pro career for the NFL’s Washington Redskins. He was selected third overall in the 2000 NFL Draft, and was a six-time Pro Bowl selection.

Mentioning Samuels’ honors, he was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame as part of the 2016 class.

On October 20, 2019, the former player was inducted into the Redskins Ring of Fame, at halftime against the San Francisco 49ers.

Marring former football player Chris Samuels in 2012, the pair are blessed with three children and live together in Potomac, Maryland.

To be more specific, the couple shares three children, sons Christopher, 9, Chase who is only 3, and daughter Milani, 7.

The Samuels’ relationship issues were well on display during the first season of Love & Marriage: D.C. With Monique expected to be on the show, a second season for the OWN reality show has been announced.

Monique’s former costar Ashley Darby expressed her friendship with Monique, saying the two had lunch just last week and that Monique was “going through some personal things” at the moment, earlier on Sunday, at the Real Housewives of Potomac panel at BravoCon.

“People always say that reality TV tears your marriage down. What people don’t realize is that Real Housewives of Potomac actually in some ways saved my marriage. Chris and I, before we started filming that show, we were in a really rough place,”

Once we started filming reality TV, it actually helped us because it forced us to date,” she added. “So we were able to get out, just reignite that intimacy and be excited about each other. She added: “And at the end of the day, sometimes you still have to come back to those moments. Because of some of the things that I expressed on Love & Marriage: DC, people who watched Potomac saw I had those same concerns back then. So it’s not like this is something new.”
