She said YES! The actress Sophia Bush engaged to her boyfriend, Grant Hughes. The 39-year-old star revealed on Instagram on Tuesday, August 10, that her boyfriend popped the question.

She posted a romantic photo of her and Grant Hughes on a boat in Lake Como, Italy, captioning: “So it turns out that being your favorite person’s favorite person is the actual best feeling on planet Earth #YES.” In the photo, the groom-to-be is on one knee.

Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes were first seen holding hands in Malibu back in May 2020, but they didn’t reveal their romance in public. However, after revealing the engagement news, many fans and friends reacted on social media websites and shared their congrats with the couple.

The actress wrote: “My heart. It bursts” and called the proposal the surprise of her life. However, this will be Bush’s second marriage.

Sophia Bush and her One Tree Hill co-star, Chad Michael Murray, were married for a short time from 2005 to 2006 after five months., and she recently said that she has done talking about her ex-husband.

She explained that “It’s hard to have nothing that’s yours. And when you are a person who lives in the public eye, everybody wants to pick over everything, and that can be really tricky. I also grew up in the early aughts when girls were raked over the coals for any choices that they made. And I just was like, ‘I don’t think I like this.’ I didn’t like having my private life lied about. There were times where someone would send through an article and be like, ‘Well, supposedly you’re dating this guy.’ And I was like, ‘I mean, I would. Who is he?’ Like, what is going on here?”

The TV star also added of her first marriage, “I was a very naïve 21-year-old kid, and that’s all there is to it.” She also revealed that why she typically chooses to keep her personal life in private.

After the two divorced, the actress had been pretty vocal in interviews about how was her marriage to Chad Michael Murray, and it simply was not what she had imagined for herself.

She was also previously linked to her other co-stars James Lafferty and Austin Butler. It is reported that she was later involved with late Google exec Dan Fredinburg and “Chicago P.D.” co-star Jesse Lee Soffer.
