Korean-American singer and songwriter Ailee’s mother’s cause of death is still private after soloist Ailee confirmed her mother’s heartbreaking passing on February 13. RIP.

32-year-old Amy Lee or better known as Ailee shared the news of her mother’s death to her fans via a post on her personal Instagram account, writing, “Mom… I miss you.. Now I can’t you anymore, but… I trust that you will always be supporting me and protecting me from above… The most beautiful person in the world, my mom… Now you can rest peacefully.. Mom proud daughter will take care of the rest of the family now.”

Her mother was her best friend and although she hasn’t made her family public much throughout her time as a celebrity, Ailee has usually mentioned her mom and the things her quotes on different broadcasts.

 “I Will Go to You Like the First Snow” singer has shared stories on how her mother guided her to lose some weight in her thighs, which she followed, and additionally how her mother always would endorse her.

Born in Denver, Colorado, on May 30 and grew up in NJ, Ailee said nothing about who and when her mother died, but according to her post’s photos the mother took her last breath as her daughter Ailee was by her side.
