Kent Moore Cabinets’ shooting in Bryan, Texas caused at least seven people were shot and now police are searching for a suspect while a second shooting was reported in Iola an hour later.

The shooting kicked off at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday when police were called for an active gunman at 350 Stone City Drive, which is the location of Kent Moore Cabinets, near College Station.

First reports announced that at least seven people are believed to have been shot, and multiple of them were said to be in critical condition.

Bryan Police spokesman Lt. Jason James reported officers were still searching for the suspect of Kent Moore Cabinets’ shooting in Bryan, Texas, although, his or her identity was not revealed at this time. The suspect was reportedly armed with a semi-automatic rifle.

There is still an active police situation off FM 2818 at Stone City Drive as law enforcement responds to the scene.

Officials with the Bryan Independent School District confirmed Jane Long Intermediate School was temporarily under a perimeter seal, however, students were released to parents around normal dismissal time. Parents of students who walk home are requested to pick up their child at the school.

James added the suspect is at large and police were searching for his/her car. There was no information about a possible motive.

No more law enforcement agency has been called at the shooting scene. This news came just after recent mass shootings in California, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

A possible suspect was transported to custody just before 4:20 p.m.

Also, another shooting was reported in Iola, located northeast of Bryan, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Bullet signs were visible in a DPS vehicle; Sources announced a state trooper was shot while police have not confirmed whether the shooting is connected to the incident in Kent Moore Cabinets.
