Koshkonong MO Shooting at a Snappy Mart Store Leaves Several Victims

Police are investigating the Koshkonong MO shooting at a convenience store that killed one and injured three others.
Police officers were responded to the Snappy Mart convenience store on Saturday morning, April 10.
Investigators said they have someone in custody, and all three victims are in critical condition. The shooting was described as a “major incident” on Oregon County Ambulance’s Facebook page.

The Latest Koshkonong MO Shooting
A fatal shooting had happened in a house on County Road 9290 near Koshkonong on January 4, 2021.
Jesse Lee Branstetter, 30, was reported dead from apparent gunshot injuries when deputies were called to the scene.
Then, a man arrived at the hospital by private vehicle seeking treatment for gunshot injuries. According to scanner audio heard by Quill staff, it was determined he was connected to the same shooting incident near Koshkonong.
Investigators didn’t disclose the second shooting victim’s name to the public but described them as being in critical but stable condition.
Shortly after, a third party called, telling law enforcement there had been a shooting and named Branstetter as a possible victim.
According to the first responders and deputies from Howell County and Oregon County, a possible suspect had left the scene and might have been wounded by gunshots as well.

A Serial Shooting Koshkonong MO!
According to scanner traffic, 15 minutes later, first responders and ambulances were allowed to leave the scene because the shooting victim was dead.
According to radio traffic, about an hour after the incident was first called in, the second victim was dropped off at a hospital, stating he had been shot.
According to the hospital’s staff, two other gunshot victims were prepped for helicopter transport to another hospital for treatment.

According to scanner audio heard by Quill staff, the search for Ira Lee Briscoe had been started late the evening of the shooting.
His car was described as a 1995 Mercury Sable with the license plate number LC9-V1B. The investigators believed it had been painted black.
