According to the Ohio Football players’ rape charge report, the victim was hanging out at Riep’s apartment that he shares with Wint on Feb. 4 when they started having consensual sex.

Ohio State has suspended the two players indefinitely from all football team activities. Riep, who recently finished his junior year as a cornerback with the Buckeyes, is from Cincinnati.

The victim began to have consensual sex with Riep before she stopped and moved away from him, telling him that she “did not want to continue,” per the summary statement of facts in a Franklin County Municipal Court affidavit in support of the probable cause.

Wint then entered the room, and Riep asked if he could join before forcing her to have non-consensual sex, per the affidavit. Riep then held her in place while Wint forced oral sex on the victim, according to the brief statement of facts.

The affidavit states that Riep filmed the victim and told her to give her name as well as say the incident was consensual.

Riep recorded the victim, asking her if she wanted her face on video since she was crying. “He told her ‘no, just say it was consensual’ on video while laughing at her.” Riep then drove her back to where she lived after telling her she needed to take a shower.

Wint then allegedly “grabbed the woman by the neck and forced her onto her hands and knees and then raped her,” while Riep allegedly “held her in place by the hips and with his body while Wint forced oral sex,” per the Columbus Dispatch.

Wint — who will be a senior this upcoming season, played safety for the Buckeyes and is from Brooklyn, New York. Both men are anticipated to be charged in Columbus on Thursday.

Ohio State University reaction to the incident

Ohio State University released a statement Tuesday night saying:

“We are aware that two of our students have been arrested and criminally charged, they have been suspended from all activities involving the football program. We will share more information when available.”

At about 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 4, the two Ohio State players “forced vaginal intercourse with another … by the purposely compelling told victim to submit by force,” according to a complaint filed on Tuesday by the alleged victim against Riep and Wint.

Riep, according to the complaint, “held the victim in place, restraining the liberty of another,” and pushed the victim “down by the neck then held her in place with his hands and body, with the purpose to engage in sexual activity with and against the will of said victim.”

Wint, according to the complaint, physically held the victim “by the face” and prevented the victim from “getting away or getting his penis out of her mouth, with the purpose to engage in sexual activity with and against the will of said victim.”

Wint has been a member of the Ohio State football team since 2016, while Riep has been on the team since 2017. Both players have one remaining season of collegiate eligibility.

The investigation about Ohio Football Players’ rape charge is continuing. Riep and Wint will appear in court in Columbus on Wednesday.
