Went Missing For Days, Princeton University Student Found Dead

On October 21, 2022, we were informed of a tragic ending to the Misrach Ewunetie’s missing case. The 20-year-old undergraduate Princeton University student has been found dead on campus after she went missing on Oct. 14.

According to Onofri, Dear Ewunetie was found by an employee, at about 1 p.m. behind tennis courts on the campus facilities grounds.

An official cause of death will be determined after a medical examiner’s review, although it’s said till now that there were no obvious signs of injury “her death does not appear suspicious or criminal in nature.”

University Vice President W. Rochelle Calhoun tributed in a statement: “Misrach’s death is an unthinkable tragedy. Our hearts go out to her family, her friends, and the many others who knew and loved her.”

After Ewunetie was reported missing, an extensive search was launched for her. A large law enforcement presence stayed on campus and in nearby areas Thursday.

Ewunetie was a junior pursuing a sociology degree with a computer applications certificate, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Before accepting a full scholarship to Princeton, deceased Ewunetie was valedictorian at Villa Angela-St. Joseph high school in Cleveland, Ohio.

The department issued a missing alert Monday besides increasing the law enforcement presence at the school. Helicopters and drones had also been circling the area as the search continued.

Princeton University Student Found Dead; What Happened?

Princeton University Student found dead after days of searching and yet her cause of death has not been clarified to her family.

May they get help to get through such difficult times. Our prayers are with Misrach Ewunetie’s family and friends.

Ewunetie was last seen Friday, Oct. 14 at about 3 a.m. near Scully Hall, a dormitory building on campus before her passing.

It’s said that she was last seen heading into her dorm room at the Ivy League school in the early morning hours of Oct. 14.

It’s also shared that Ewunetie was not there at the time her roommate returned to the dorm about 90 minutes later.

Her family contacted the school’s department of public safety Sunday declaring they had not heard from her in days and asked them to do a wellness check.

Her brother, Universe Ewunetie, shared that his sister’s phone last pinged sometime after 3 a.m, revealing Thursday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Friday at a housing complex that’s about a 30-minute walk from her dorm, which he said was out of character for her to be in such a location.
