Police Searching For Suspect of Shooting in Bellevue WA
Shooting in Bellevue WA left one person injured.
One person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a shooting broke out in the Lakemont area Friday morning, Bellevue Police Department reported.
Police responded to the 5300 block of Village Park Drive Southeast just before 8:30 a.m. and discovered a man with various gunshot wounds outside an apartment complex.
The police department representative reported a search for the shooting suspect is underway, and a command post was established at Lakemont Park.
The Lakemont neighborhood is ordered to be avoided as the police are searching for the suspect and people in the area are asked to stay indoors.
People in the area are asked to stay indoors. Lakemont Blvd. is closed between SE Newport Way (Near I-90) and 164th Ave SE.

Police stated the shooting happened at about 8:45 a.m. in the 5300 block of Village Park Drive, located just west of Lakemont Park.
Investigators released a description of the suspect shortly before 10 a.m. Additional information on the details of the shooting was not immediately available.
Police reported a “possible” suspect was seen escaping the area and reported him as about 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a slim build, and said he was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, athletic pants, and green gloves.
Lakemont Boulevard remains closed in the area as the investigation continues. Residents are asked to avoid the area until further notice. The police department said further information will be released as available.
