Child’s Shooting in Northwest Harris County


Child’s shooting in Northwest Harris County in Texas wounded a child on Wednesday around 9 a.m.

An 11-year-old boy was shot in the face on Wednesday morning in Cypress area neighborhood at home.

He was shot in the 19700 blocks of Ridge Falls Court and was taken away by ambulance. The ambulance transported the child to a nearby shopping center where Life Flight airlifted them to the Medical Center. The child was found with a gunshot wound to his cheek.

According to the Harris County Sheriff‘s Office, the shooting was being investigated as accidental. They said they believe the child was playing with the weapon and suffered a gunshot wound to the face. The child is expected to survive.

Another younger child was home at the time, but no other injuries were reported.

Still, homicide reporters investigated the incident and were interviewing witnesses and family members.

A man shot to death while sitting in his car at west Harris County apartment complex last week.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the man was on his phone when a gunman neared his vehicle and started shooting.

The man had to be taken to the hospital by Life Flight where he was pronounced dead.

Robbery shooting

3 suspected shots, killed 2 men during an apparent robbery in northwest Harris County around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday last week.

The police found two men dead from gunshot wounded inside the apartment after replying to a report of a disturbance involving weapons. Witnesses told assistants that one of the suspects was wearing a mask with a Mexican flag on it. The second was wearing a black baseball cap and a black bandanna. The third suspect was wearing a dark mask.

Two of them were seen with handguns as the other suspect carried a rifle.
