Five injured and one died on Thursday in a Washington DC Shooting, D.C., near the White House, in the parking lot of an apartment block, police stated. It happened at about 10: p.m. in the courtyard of a shopping complex on Columbia Road near 13th Street Northwest in Columbia Heights. Homicide investigators called to the scene, as D.C. police stated.
Police tell they received a report for a Washington DC shooting in the 1300 block of Columbia Road NW at around 10:06 p.m. Based on police reports six people were injured and transported to a nearby hospital with injuries ranging from non-crucial to serious.
Four of the surviving victims are men, and one of them is a woman.
Police have not arrested a suspect as yet and do not know the motivation for the Washington DC shooting, also, they believed that this shooting is not an active shooting situation.

The gunfire erupted in the Columbia Heights neighborhood, about two miles (three km) from the White House on Thursday night about 10 p.m., and happened outdoors in a courtyard of an apartment building, police said.
Of the five injured victims of the shooting, two were considered risky and other injuries ranged from serious to minor, but all were expected to survive their injuries, he added. Moreover, All of the victims are adults and there is no child between them.
The shooting happened in the Columbia Heights area, about 3 kilometers from the White House on Thursday night, outdoors in a courtyard of an apartment building, police announced.
Police held a press conference about this shooting late Thursday.
Although the suspect has not yet been arrested, investigations are ongoing and Police are looking for two men in a light-colored Nissan sedan armed with “AK style” guns.
