Lisa Banes, the Gone Girl actress’ hit and run almost led to her death! She has been left in critical condition after being involved in a scooter accident in New York City on Friday (June 4, 2021).
Her manager David Williams announced that the Gone Girl actress was hospitalized in critical condition on Saturday night after being stuck in the hit-and-run accident as she was crossing a street near Lincoln Center in New York City.
65-year-old Banes was struck on her way to visit her alma mater when she was crossing Amsterdam Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the Julliard School, according to Williams.

The hit-and-run happened at approximately 6:30 pm. and soon, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of West 64 St. and Amsterdam Ave.
The manager also added the actress was being treated for “substantial injuries” at Mount Sinai Morningside hospital.

The vehicle passed a red light, and the driver fled the scene while Banes had the right of way and was “flung” from the road.
The New York City Police Department reported that accident victims had not been identified, although officers did respond to an accident at that location.
In a statement, the NYPD continued: “Upon arrival, officers observed a 65-year-old female pedestrian lying on the roadway with severe head trauma. EMS responded to the location and transported the aided female to Mount Sinai Saint Luke’s Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.”

The NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad is still investigating the incident further, discovering that Banes was trying to cross Amsterdam Ave. When a motorized scooter hit her, pushing her into the roadway, and then fled the scene. At this time, no arrests had been made.
