Police: Highway 169 Tulsa Accident Left One Person Dead
Tulsa police are responding to Highway 169 Tulsa accident near Pine on Thursday morning. At least one person is dead after this crash.
Actually, Tulsa police report one car attempted to merge lanes and hit another car. The car trying to change lanes rolled, killing the driver.
Officers added there are three crashes, including one on Highway 169 near Pine, a second near I-244, and a third smaller one with slight damage done.
The first crash happened at 5:19 a.m. and involved a car going into a ditch and another catching fire — one person died, according to police.
The second crash involved five cars including a police officer, but no injuries were reported.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital after the Highway 169 Tulsa accident and is expected to be OK.
Officers have blocked the northbound lanes of the highway starting at 11th Street as crews work to clear the scene. Police advise getting off the highway at Garnett and back on at Pine.
Traffic is being directed off of northbound Highway 169 near 11th Street and the highway is closing at I-44. until additional notice. ODOT says drivers can expect significant delays and drivers should attempt to avoid the area and find a different route.
