Coach Meaghan McGonagle Suddenly Died of a Short-Time Illness

We are sad to announce that basketball and volleyball coach, Meaghan McGonagle has sadly passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Coach Meaghan McGonagle has reportedly died after losing a battle with a sudden illness.
She was the coach of both the Cranston East girls and boys volleyball teams. Ms. McGonagle was Business Teacher at Cranston High School East, who was living in Warwick, Rhode Island, U.S. She was also Entrepreneurship Program Instructor at Cranston Area Career and Technical Center and also a Business Teacher at Guilderland Central School District.
She had educated in Pilgrim High School from 1994 to 1998 and then got a Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) of Marketing and Management at Siena College Graphic from 1998 to 2002.

After many reports were released that Meaghan McGonagle died, several fans, friends, students, and supporters reacted and stated their condolences on social media websites following this tragic news.
Pilgrim Militia wrote on Twitter: “Today the pilgrim community lost another great member. Our all-time leading scorer. But even a better friend, teacher, and coach. And most of all a great Mom. Meg McGonagle. Once a Patriot always a Patriot.”
Professor and Chair of Biostatistics, Brown University School of Public Health, Joe Hogan, tweeted: “This is such sad news. She coached both girls and boys volleyball at East and the teams were incredible. She was loved by students and players If there’s a better RIIL coach in recent memory – in any sport – it’s hard to think of who that would be RIP coach McGonagle.”
An online user wrote: “A very sad day for Cranston. Rest in peace, Coach,” adding: “Coach McGonagle was also Pilgrim’s all-time leading scorer in girls basketball.”
One of her students wrote: “I am going to missed you, Meaghan McGonagle. You been a great teacher… RIP Mrs. McGonagle.”
