Footballer Spencer Webb’s Diving Accident Led to Death

Today we received the shocking news that Oregon Ducks tight end Spencer Webb’s diving accident caused the star’s passing on Wednesday (July 13, 2022) at the age of 22.

According to official sources, Spencer Webb took his last breath in a diving accident just west of Triangle Lake in Lane County, where the university is placed; he lost his life after falling on rock slides and hitting his head.

Police reportedly got the message at approximately 2:39 pm of an injured person in that area. After authorities arrived at the scene, they discovered his dead body. The young footballer was found “at about 100 yards down a steep trail” and search and rescue personnel helped to carry him back to the roadway.
The paramedics and those who were on the scene efforted to save the 22-year-old, however, all the efforts were not enough.
The rock slides are an area that includes big slabs of stone that create natural slides; They turn into small waterfalls and link to a swimming hole. Although the sheriff’s office has not identified Webb as the victim, Oregon head football coach Dan Lanning confirmed the tragic death in a statement shared on Twitter.
He wrote, “So full of life in every moment of the day. Your smile and energy will be missed, Spencer. I love you!”

Spencer Webb was born in Sacramento and was still a junior at the University of Oregon. He finished his schooling at Christian Brothers High School. Webb was at the beginning of his fifth-year junior season this fall and was planned to be a starter.
He had 31 catches for 296 yards and four touchdowns over 29 games with the Ducks, recording 13 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown in 2021; the young legend also starred at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento.
